Powder Coating
Powder coating is one of the most advanced coating processes available and provides the ultimate finish durability and longevity.
Powder coating is a method of applying a decorative and protective finish to a wide range of materials and products. The powder coating process involves electro statically charged resin & pigments that are sprayed onto a electrically grounded surface. The item is then heated in an oven and cured while the powder is baked on. The result is a uniform, durable, high-quality finish with exterior durability.
Powder coated surfaces are more resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and wearing than other finishes. Colour selection is virtually unlimited with high or low gloss, metallic or clear finishes available. Whichever finish you choose colours stay bright and vibrant longer.
Protects the Environment
While liquid finishes contain solvents which have pollutants known as volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Powder coating contains no solvents and releases negligible amounts, if any, of VOCs. Thus, there is no longer a need for finishers to buy costly pollution control equipment. In addition, most powder coating overspray that does not adhere to the part can be retrieved and reused.
Saves Money
Elimination of VOCs and reduction of wastes saves money and helps companies economically while complying with the regulations. In fact, one of the major elements in expanding the market for powder coating has been the implementation over the past 30 years of stringent air pollution control legislation. Powder coating is one of the most economical finishing processes available for metal today. The electrostatic process ensures an even cover on even the most complex products leaving a durable finish in a wide variety of colours.
Our Powder coating process is environmentally safe.
There are virtually no VOC's (Volatile Organic Compound)_released during the application and curing of the powder. For further advice or any questions you may have about powder coating your particular project.
